Parliament to set up a Committee on the Economy to offer independent advice to the House on economic related issues brought before Parliament for consideration and approval . The decision to set up the Committee is contained in the new standing orders of Parliament.

The Majority Leader Kyei Mensah Bonsu made this known when the leadership of Parliament engaged the Parliamentary Press Corpse to brief members on business of the House for the current Second meeting .
