WE WILL NOT OPPOSE A POLICY THAT SEEKS TO SUSTAIN FREE SHS- MINORITY.
Minority leader in parliament, Mr Cassiel Ato Forson, has emphatically stated that they will not oppose any policy that seeks to sustain and improve the free SHS.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament and to the media, Mr Forson hinted that H.E. Dr Mahamadu Bawumia is rather against the free SHS policy.
He added that the flag bearer for the NPP has on record that the free SHS needs commitment rather than the law.
He said the NPP government can only boast of the free SHS policy after messing up the life of the ordinary Ghanaian.
He urged the majority in parliament to quickly introduce the free SHS bill if their souls' desire.
"We challenge you.we give you one week;bring the bill before us. Let them present the bill before us tomorrow so we can see the content. "
The member of parliament for Ajumako Enyan Essiam explained that if the bill is presented on time, they will be able to consult the people who understand the education sector. He cited institutions like GNAT and NAGRAT.
Mr Forson promised to serve notice to demand the bill.
"NDC are committed, we are committed to the free Senior High school policy. We will obviously identify some lapses"
He revealed that the NDC signed the 1992 constitution that enshrined free universal basic education.
