Ghana's Minority Caucus in Parliament has expressed strong concerns over the country's agreement with the United States to accept third-country nationals deported from the US. The Minority Caucus reiterates its call for the government to suspend the agreement's implementation until parliamentary ratification is obtained. Speaking to the media, the Ranking member for the Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Mr Samuel Abu Jinapor highlighted that the agreement breaches Article 75 of Ghana's Constitution. He urged the government to provide clarity on the processes, safeguards, and implications of receiving these deportees. ATIWA EAST DCE SEEKS SOLUTIONS FOR HIGH COST OF LIVING FOR GOVT WORKERS. The District Chief Executive for Atiwa East Ernest Owusu Ntim giving his vision for development for the district have highlighted the challenges faced by government workers due to the high cost of living particularly in Atiwa East and some of the mining communities. Addressing the media, he stated that, looking at the cost of rent in these areas, workers use more than 30% of their salaries on rent. He explained that, this has led the departures of nurses, doctors, teachers and other government workers. Mr Owusu Ntim emphasized that, the assembly will try to have an untouchable development levy account which will generate money from the mining companies in the district. The funds collected will therefore be used to build affordable apartments and accommodations for these government workers.

FIGHT AGAINST GALAMSEY : Local-Based Approach the Best Solution.
