A government delegation led by Presidential Advisor Goosie Tanoh on the 24-Hour Economy met with Parliament to present the policy to Speaker Alban Bagbin ahead of its launch in July. Speaker Bagbin welcomed the initiative but emphasized the need for legislative backing to ensure the policy's longevity.

He advised the 24-Hour Economy Secretariat to collaborate with lawmakers to draft a bill that would institutionalize the program, providing stability beyond changes in political leadership. The policy's launch on July 2 marks a significant step in Ghana's economic transformation agenda, aimed at stimulating economic growth and job creation through round-the-clock economic activity.

Speaker Bagbin also reflected on past political experiences, noting how the NDC lost the 2000 general elections and how former President Kufuor engaged with PNDC members, including the late P.V. Obeng, to set up his office. He observed that the 24-hour economy policy would likely face scrutiny from business-minded individuals and criticism from others due to its association with Goosie Tanoh.
