SUBIN MP RAISES CONCERNS OVER PUBLIC LANDS EMBARGO AND ITS ECONOMIC IMPACT. The Member of Parliament for Subin, Hon Kofi Obiri Yeboah, has raised serious concerns over the recent embargo on state and public lands announced by President John Dramani Mahama on January 10, 2025. Speaking on the floor of Parliament, Mr. Yeboah acknowledged the President’s intention to safeguard public lands for national interest, but warned that the embargo is causing significant disruptions to land registration processes and harming private investment. He cited cases such as the Osumanche Layout, where individuals and corporate bodies with legitimate land interests are now unable to proceed with registrations or use their lands as collateral for loans.
