*International Day of Persons with Disabilities: Ghanaian MP Sounds Clarion Call for Inclusion* The Member of Parliament for Weija Gbawe Constituency and Second Deputy Minority Whip, Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib, has emphasized the need for increased accessibility and inclusivity for Ghana's approximately 2.1 million persons with disabilities. Speaking in Parliament on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Hon. Shaib noted that despite the Persons with Disability Act 2006, Act 715, many public spaces and infrastructure remain inaccessible to persons with disabilities. "We are not doing what is expected of us," Hon. Shaib stated, citing examples of inaccessible toilet facilities, lack of ramps, and inadequate parking spaces for persons with disabilities. Hon.
