Minority leader Defends NPP Government's Economic Record, Slams NDC's Cocoa Pricing. The Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, has defended the NPP government's handling of the economy, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, has defended the NPP government's handling of the economy, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

 

 

In an engagement with Tescon members from the various universities, He highlighted the government's uninterrupted payment of public sector workers and negotiations with bondholders to reduce interest payments.

 Mr Afenyo-Markin promised to advocate for farmers' payments and advised Tescon members to communicate effectively and unite for victory. 

 

However, the president for University of Education Winneba Mr Emmanuel Osei emphasized the party's commitment to supporting agriculture and education. 

 

He called on the NPP party to push for policies benefitting students and to organize training for the party communicators on campuses.
