*Minority Blasts Security Services Recruitment Exercise as 'Biggest Recruitment Scam', Demands Probe and Refund* Hon John Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament for Assin South constituency and Ranking member, Defence and Interior Committee, has condemned the security services recruitment exercise, calling it a "biggest recruitment scam" that has exploited over 500,000 Ghanaian youth. Addressing the Parliamentary Press, Mr Ntim Fordjour stated that the government's decision to increase the recruitment age limit from 25 to 35 years was misleading and exploitative, trapping more unemployed youth into applying. He criticized the Interior Ministry for milking over GH¢100 million from applicants, with each applicant paying GHC220 for application forms. He questioned the fairness of the process, given that only 5,000 slots were available for recruitment. Fantekwa South to Benefit from Free Seedlings Distribution - Minister Buah The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Mr Kofi Armah Buah has emphatically stated that, Fantekwa South will be a beneficiary of the free seedlings distribution. According to him, in March 2025, the president H.E John Dramani Mahama launched a program "Tree for life reforestation initiative" A massive nationwide reforestation campaign aiming to plant 30 million trees to restore degraded landscape combat illegal mining ( galamsey) and boost climate resilience.
