Ghana's Parliament Pays Tribute to Late Hajia Mary Salifu Boforo The Parliament of Ghana today honored the memory of Hajia Mary Salifu Boforo, former NDC MP for Savelugu, with a statement of remembrance. MINORITY LEADER DEMANDS THE PRESENT OF COMMUNICATION MINISTER TO BRIEF PARLIAMENT OVER SIM CARD RE-REGISTRATION 

 

Minority Leader and Member of Parliament (MP) Effutu Constituency Osahene Alexander Afenyo-Markin is demanding the presence of Samuel Nartey George Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations to appear before Parliament House and Explain Re-registration of Sim Card exercise. 

 

Speaking on the Floor of Parliament, the Minority Leader said National Communications Authority (NCA) claimed there are irregularities in our Sim Registration which there in turn to conduct another exercise which needs to be probed by Parliament. 

 

He blamed Majority Caucus for shielding Ministers from coming to Parliament and answering questions. He said the Minister is comfortable and sleeping on the job. 

 

Hon. Afenyo-Markin stressed the need for important issues of National interest to be discussed first in the Chamber of Parliament.
