*Ghana's Communications Minister Says Anti-LGBTQ Bill Must Follow Due Process, No Bill Yet Before President Mahama* Minister Sam Nartey George denies abandoning the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, stating it has to go through proper parliamentary procedure to avoid court challenges. He added that no bill is currently before President John Dramani Mahama but expressed confidence the president would assent to it once presented, and urged Parliament to fulfill the wishes of religious leaders like the Chief Imam to pass the bill.

*Ghana's Communications Minister Says Anti-LGBTQ Bill Must Follow Due Process, No Bill Yet Before President Mahama*

 

Minister Sam  Nartey George denies abandoning the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, stating it has to go through proper parliamentary procedure to avoid court challenges. 

 

He added that no bill is currently before President John Dramani Mahama but expressed confidence the president would assent to it once presented, and urged Parliament to fulfill the wishes of religious leaders like the Chief Imam to  pass the bill.
