*1.7 Million Birds Distributed Nationwide Under Nkokonkititi Programme – Deputy Agric Minister* Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. John Matthew Kofi Setor, has told Parliament that 1.7 million birds have so far been distributed across the country under the government’s poultry support programme, Nkokonkititi. Addressing proceedings in Parliament, Hon. Setor said the distribution has reached farmers in Ashanti, Ahafo, Bono, Bono East, Greater Accra, Western North, Eastern, Central, and Volta Regions. On a follow-up question regarding maize and soya supply for feed, the Deputy Minister said most of the processing factories are currently working directly with suppliers to procure raw materials for feed production.
