*‘We Must Not Sell Cheap Today What We May Need Tomorrow’ – Annoh-Dompreh Warns Govt on Carbon Credit Deals* Minority Chief Whip and MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Hon. Frank Annoh-Dompreh, says Ghana must get its carbon credit market right to protect national interest and climate commitments. Making a statement in Parliament on _“The Carbon Credit Market: Another Excellent Opportunity for Ghana to Get It Right,”_ he noted: “Mr. Speaker, I am indeed happy that Ghana has taken important early steps.” Hon. Annoh-Dompreh said the rules must be clear from the start. “Timeline must be clear, fees must be reasonable, and the distinction between Article 6 transactions, the voluntary carbon market project, and non-authorised domestic carbon activities must be clearly communicated,” he stated.
