*Gov’t Contains Monkeypox Outbreak - No New Cases Recorded Since June 2, Health Minister Tells Parliament* Government has successfully contained the monkeypox outbreak in the country, with no new cases recorded since June 2, 2025, the Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has said. Hon. Akandoh disclosed this when he appeared before Parliament’s Government Assurance Committee to account for commitments made by the Ministry of Health. The Minister said the Ministry secured and administered about 33,000 doses of monkeypox vaccines in targeted regions to halt the spread of the disease. “Communication and we have been able to I mean contain monkeypox and I'm happy to tell the committee that for the past one month we've not recorded any case.
