MINORITY INVITES BAWUMIA TO PARLIAMENT FOR DEBATE

The minority in Parliament has also called on the Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahmoud Bawumia, to appear in Parliament to participate in the mid-year budget debate schedule for tomorrow.

Ahmed Ibrahim the member of Parliament for Banda constituency in the Bono Region who doubles as the deputy Minority whip in a press conference on Wednesday 24th July 2024 stated that the 1992  constitution under Article 111 mandate the Vice President to partake in Parliamentary debate.

He insisted that if the NPP is requesting for debate,  he should appear before Parliament and meet the parliamentarians who represent the good people of Ghana.

Ahmed stated that the minority are poised with competent members and a mixture of expectees who are knowledgeable at all the sectors to be able to face Dr. Bawumia and the NPP for Debate
