MINORITY BOYCOTT ON LITHIUM CONTRACTS STAKEHOLDERS MEETING UNFAIR - HON MANU ADABOR

The chairman of the committee on Lands and Natural Resources, Mr Francis Manu Adabor has described boycott of the stakeholders meeting on the lithium mining contract by the minority on the committee as unfair.

Addressing the press, Mr Manu Adabor explained that, the minority on the committee wants the large bauxite site at nyinahini be given to one contractor.

"We think Ghana belongs to all of us and we think is fair that if there is anything, everybody has an input and everybody can benefit from all the contracts. We can't give the nyinahini bauxite to one contractor and is the very reason they don't want to join in the discussion"he said.

The member of parliament for Ahafo Ano South East Mr Manu Adabor emphatically stated that the minority lied that they were not informed of the  stakeholders meeting.

He promised to make sure the contracts see the light of the day.

"We the majority will do all what we can to take the report to the plenary for discussion."
