The leader of government business who doubles as the Leader of the NPP caucus Hon. Afenyo Markin has indicated there are no grounds to support the Speaker's actions.

In a press briefing in Parliament this morning Afenyo elaborated the New Patriotic Party has not written any official statement to the Speaker and he is very aware that the NDC General Secretary has also not written to Speaker to declare the seat of the Amenfi Central Vacant.

He emphatically stated that the New Patriotic members whose seat has been declared vacant still remain members of their party.

He said the party has not taken any actions against them to deny them members of the party nor have they written to resign from the party.

He revealed that the 2nd Deputy Speaker Andrew Asiamah Amoako is preparing to take legal action against Bagbin's conduct.

He added that the NPP remains the majority and will continue to boycott proceedings till supreme Court pronounces its final verdict.
