THE PRESIDENT AND JUDICIARY HAVE SIN.
The Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has emphatically stated that, the President of Ghana Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo and the Judiciary have sin against the constitution and need to ask for forgiveness.
In an engagement with the media, on Wednesday November 6, RT.Hon. Bagbin stated it is unlawful for anybody to put an injunction on a bill drafted by Parliament which has not yet been assented by the President to be a law.
He added that, the president has no power or right to reject a bill but can only consult the Council of State to deliberate and make corrections if there is the need to be and return it to Parliament to work on it.
He further indicated that it is only a law that can be taken to the supreme court for interpretation but the supreme court of Ghana overlooked the constitutional process and handled the Human Sexual Rights And the Ghanaian Family Value Bill unconstitutionally.
Bagbin therefore lamented that, the Judiciary as well as the President have sinned against the constitution and must confess and ask for forgiveness and also repent.
Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin at the media briefing again added that, he has directed the Clerk to Parliament to resubmit the Anti-Gay bill to the president for assent.
He lamented that, the anti -gay bill has been in court for more than a year but the supreme court has been adamant in attending to it.
However, the chief whip for the Minority, Mr Governs Kwame Agbodza told the media that they will take their rightful place in the chamber where they sit.
He advised the NPP caucus to try and prioritize business that is in the interest of Ghanaian.
