MINORITY TASK GOVERNMENT TO ADDRESS CHOLERA OUTBREAK.
The Ranking Member on the committee on Health, Mr Kwabena Mintah Akandoh Head called on government as a matter of urgency to address and implement measures to curb the rising morbidity and mortality associated with the ongoing cholera outbreak across the country.
Addressing the media, Mr Akandoh revealed reports from the Western region indicate about one hundred and twenty three cases recorded on daily basis which is alarming.
He added that, fifteen health workers were infected while taking care of victims.
The MP for Juaboso called on the government to act swiftly and decisively to address this challenges by ensuring resources are adequate allocated as many health facilities have been brink with administrators resorting to appeal for assistance from cooperate organizations to secure essential supplies.
He advocated for intensive public awareness and education on the causes and prevention of cholera.
