MINORITY RAISES CONCERNS ABOUT ASSURANCES GIVEN MINISTERS OF FINANCE, ENERGY AND AG DESIGNATE
The Minority in Parliament have raised concerns with the responses and assurances given by the some Ministerial appointees who appeared before the Appointments Committee on Monday.
Speaking on behalf of the caucus Tano North legislator Dr Gideon Boako opined that the Minister designate for Finance Dr Cassiel Ato Forson’s responses to questions on how Government intends on raising revenue after the intended tax cuts were uninspiring and raise suspicion as to whether additional taxes will be introduced in their stead.
He further touched on the Energy Minister Designate John Jinapor’s dissonant answers on the current power crisis after he had made comments suggesting the country could be facing power crisis due to the inadequacy of fuel left behind by the past administration.
