FIGHT AGAINST GALAMSEY : Local-Based Approach the Best Solution. The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atiwa East, Mr. Ernest Owusu Ntim, emphasizes that a local-based approach is the best way to combat illegal mining (galamsey) in Ghana. Speaking to SATA Radio UK, he advocated for a national dialogue involving all DCEs at mining assemblies to discuss solutions and measures rather than declaring a state of emergency.
