SUNYANI WEST MCE OUTLINES PROJECTS IN HIS MUNICIPALITY AND ASSURES OF SAFETY ON THEIR ROADS. The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Sunyani West Mr Kwasi Asante Boateng (Esq) in the Bono Region has discussed ongoing and upcoming projects, as well as challenges faced by the municipality. He mentioned several projects including, renovation of the abandoned MCE's bangalore and market, which has been abandoned for 7 years. Mr Boateng added that, Construction of a 6-classroom block at Adentia near Sekyere Odumase, construction of a 6-compound and 2-unit classroom block at Timba nkwanta, Drilling of 10 new boreholes across the municipality are on going projects yet to be completed. The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Sunyani West Mr Kwasi Asante Boateng (Esq) in the Bono Region has  discussed ongoing and upcoming projects, as well as challenges faced by the municipality. 

 

 

He  mentioned several projects including,

renovation of the abandoned  MCE's bangalore and market, which has been abandoned for 7 years.

 

 

 Mr Boateng added that, Construction of a 6-classroom block at Adentia near Sekyere Odumase, construction of a 6-compound and 2-unit classroom block at Timba nkwanta, Drilling of 10 new boreholes across the municipality are on going projects yet to be completed. 

 

 

The MCE outlined security and infrastructure as the two major challenges he is facing in the  municipality. 

 

He narrated how robbery incidents kept reoccurring due to the bad nature of their roads but a police post has been built at Twumasikrom, and the presence of the police at post  has reduced robbery issues. 

 

 

The MCE requested  urgent attention to several roads, including Sunyani to Techiman, Sunyani to Berekum, and Buuku branch roads, which are in poor condition.

 

 

Mr Kwasi Boateng expresses doubt about completing all projects within this year but has started the process by advertising the projects, with tendering scheduled for September 16.

 

 He concluded by an overview of the municipality's projects and challenges, highlighting the need for improved infrastructure and security.
