Deputy Minority leader, Mrs Patricia Appiagyei has recalled how she lost two members of her family to breast cancer.

She  raised awareness about breast cancer, emphasizing its impact on families and the importance of early detection.

The MP for Asokwa further encouraged individuals to examine themselves regularly and have their partners do the same.

 

 Highlighting that breast cancer is preventable if detected early, and prompt action can save lives.

 "Am urging everyone to take responsibility for their health, be aware of the risks, and take proactive steps to detect any potential issues early".

 

She  promoted a proactive approach to breast health and encouraging collective action to combat breast cancer.

 

However, the Majority Deputy Whip, Madam Comfort Doyoe also emphasized that, as the chairperson for the women's caucus, is important for supporting one other whether as survivors, caregivers, advocates or friends, in the fight against breast cancer.

 

She commended LIPS for organizing the initiative and advocates for gender -responsive health policies, improved diagnostic infrastructure and sustained funding for women's health programs.
