GHANAIANS WILL TAKE NDC SERIOUS WHEN YOU REPEAL FUEL/ELECTRICITY BILL-AFENYO-MARKIN The Minority leader and Member Of Parliament for Effutu Constituency Osahene Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin has asked the government if they want to regain respect from Ghanaians, then the ¢GH1 fuel tax and 18 percent of Electricity tariff has to repealed. Speaking on the floor of Parliament during the ongoing 2026 budget statements debates, the minority leader added that, NDC cannot boast that the economy is stable when those tariffs are imposed on Ghanaians . He however, stressed that, the NDC should not call for praises because of the removal of COVID-19 levy. "there are a lot on the line for NDC to appease Ghanaians". He lamented. He stated that Ghanaians are very much disappointed in the second NDC government led by President John Dramani Mahama. The Minority leader and Member Of Parliament for  Effutu Constituency Osahene Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin has asked the government if they want to regain respect from Ghanaians, then the ¢GH1 fuel tax and 18 percent of Electricity tariff has to repealed.
