Suaman MP Fredrick Gilbert Addy Supports New SHS Entrants With Educational Materials

The Member of Parliament for Suaman Constituency in the Western North Region, Hon. Fredrick Gilbert Addy, has distributed educational materials to newly admitted Senior High School students in the constituency.

The items, which included student mattresses, school bags, trunks, and exercise books, were presented to students who have gained admission into various Senior High Schools across the country for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The presentation, which took place in the constituency, brought together beneficiary students, parents, party executives and community members.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Addy said the gesture was part of his commitment to support education and lessen the financial burden on parents as their wards enter secondary school.

According to him, education remains the key to unlocking the potential of the youth in Suaman, and as a first-term MP, he is determined to invest heavily in the human resource development of his constituents.

"As your representative, I believe no child in Suaman should be denied quality education because of lack of basic school items. This is just the beginning of many interventions we have lined up to improve education in the constituency," he said.

The MP, who serves on the minority side in Parliament, assured constituents that he will continue to lobby for more educational infrastructure and support programs to enhance teaching and learning in the district.

Some beneficiary parents and students who spoke to the media expressed gratitude to the MP for the timely support, noting that the rising cost of prospectus for SHS entrants has been a major challenge for many families.

They appealed to other well-meaning individuals and organizations to emulate the MP's example.

Hon. Fredrick Gilbert Addy was elected as MP for Suaman in the 2024 general elections and has since prioritized education, health and youth empowerment in his development agenda.
