*Deputy Minister Raise Concerns Over Court Actions and Judgement Debts* The Deputy Minister for Finance, Mr Thomas Ampem Nyarko has highlighted a worrying trend of court actions and judgement debts affecting the Ministry of Finance's accounts. Speaking before the Public Account Committee, he said issue arises when other government ministries, like the Road Ministry, award contracts and fail to pay, leading to contractors taking the government to court and resulting in judgement debts. He explained that, the Ministry of Finance accounts are affected by judgement debts due to transactions initiated by other ministries. Citing some solutions , he suggested that, a legal framework is needed to protect the Ministry of Finance from rampant court actions.
