13000 PEOPLE DIE OF HIV EVERY YEAR - 

The director for

National HIV/AIDS control program under Ghana Health Service, Dr Ayisi Addo revealed that, about thirteen thousand people die of HIV/AIDS every  year. 

Participating in sharing condoms and fliers on the streets of Accra to educate Ghanaians, Mr Ayisi added that,  three hundred and thirty-four thousand nine-five people also get affected and eighteen thousand get infected every year.

Dr Addo advised the use of condoms whiles spreading love this Vals day. 

He mentioned that in collaboration with other stakeholders like the ministry of health, they will continue to educate and create awareness of the deadly disease every festive and special occasions within the year.

Also, the Ghana  HIV/AIDS Network has distributed over thousand condoms.

Speaking to the PRO, Mrs Joana Polley said this exercise is aimed at educating Ghanaians to protect themselves and to create the awareess that  HIV/AIDS is real..
