The Majority Leader in Parliament, Hon Mahama Ayariga has stated that the current Ghana's Economic Performance must be attributed to President Mahama's visionary governance, highlighting achievements and renewed optimism in Ghana with key points which includes Restoration of faith in our Democratic Institutions
Delivering his welcome address in Parliament, he said Mahama's governance has revitalized trust in democratic institutions and national spirit.
According to the Bawku Central member of Parliament, Various sectors, including market women, educators, farmers, students, and the business community, have shown renewed vigor and confidence.
To him Ghana is now seen as a model of democratic renewal and economic resurgence, both domestically and internationally.
The country's economic recovery has garnered continental admiration, positioning Ghana as a leader among nations.
He also highlights a significant rebound in Ghana's financial situation, with notable improvements in the value of the Ghanaian cedi against major currencies
He said the cedi has appreciated by 21% against the US dollar, 60% against the British pound, and 41% against the euro and this appreciation has led to reductions in prices of commodities, food, and general goods and services, providing relief to Ghanaian families.
The Majority Leader attributes this success to the finance minister's leadership and the implementation of "forced economics," emphasizing the need for continued fiscal prudence.
According to Mahama Ayariga, a range of legislative proposals will be laid in Parliament during the second session which will focused on *Education*: Various bills related to universities, education regulatory bodies, and colleges of education will be presented for consideration.

Scholarships Authority Bill Establishing an authority to manage scholarships.
University Bills Establishing new universities, such as the University for Development Studies and the University of Engineering and Agricultural Science.
Social Protection Bill Promoting social protection and support for vulnerable populations.

Domestic Violence Act Amendment Strengthening protections for victims of domestic violence.
