Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga Outlines Parliamentary Business for the Week The Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga, presented a report on business statements to the floor of Parliament. According to him, there are 55 questions on the order paper, comprising 12 urgent questions and 43 oral questions. Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga Outlines Parliamentary Business for the Week

 

The Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga, presented a report on business statements to the floor of Parliament.

 

 

 According to him, there are 55 questions on the order paper, comprising 12 urgent questions and 43 oral questions. Various ministers are scheduled to respond to these questions, including:

 

- Minister for Trade ,Agric Business and Industry

- Minister for Interior

- Minister for Transport

- Minister for Roads and Highways

- Minister for Works, Housing, and Water Resources

- Governor of the Bank of Ghana

- Minister for Food and Agriculture

- Attorney General and Minister for Justice

- Minister for Defense

- Minister for Health

- Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs

 

Ayariga stated that ministers may make statements on government policy under Order 91:2, and honorable members may also make statements under Order 93. He added that bill papers and reports may be presented pursuant to Orders 15, 9, and 160, and papers may be laid under Order 97.

 

The Majority Leader announced that the Business Committee has scheduled parliamentary sittings for Mondays and Saturdays, starting from July 7, 2025, to allow for the maturation of some investigative instruments.

 

 Additionally, the committee has initiated live telecasts of parliamentary proceedings on Ghana Parliament TV, a national television channel.
