Finance Minister Highlights Key Infrastructure Projects in 2025 Mid-Year Budget Presentation The Minister for Finance, Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson, has presented the 2025 Mid-Year Budget Statement to Parliament, outlining several ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects aimed at accelerating national development. In his presentation, Dr. Forson highlighted major investments across transport, health, education, energy, and water sectors. Finance Minister Highlights Key Infrastructure Projects in 2025 Mid-Year Budget Presentation

 

The Minister for Finance, Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson, has presented the 2025 Mid-Year Budget Statement to Parliament, outlining several ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects aimed at accelerating national development.

 

In his presentation, Dr. Forson highlighted major investments across transport, health, education, energy, and water sectors. These include:

 

Construction of 14 pedestrian bridges

 

Upgrades to Kumasi roads and drainage systems

 

Development of the Paa Grant Interchange

 

Phase I of the Sekondi-Takoradi township roads

 

Rehabilitation of the Dome-Kitase Road

 

Obetsebi Lamptey Interchange Phase II

 

Construction of the Bolgatanga–Bawku road

 

The PTC Roundabout Interchange Road in Takoradi

 

In the water and health sectors, the government is also delivering:

 

A drinking water facility in Wenchi

 

The Sekondi-Takoradi Water Supply Project

 

Modernization of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital

 

Construction of Central Medical Stores in Tema

 

Upgrades to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Takoradi

 

Works on the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital

 

Education and skills development are also receiving a boost with:

 

Establishment of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development at Bonsu

 

Construction of nine state-of-the-art Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Centres

 

Development of integrated e-learning laboratories in senior high schools

 

Expansion of existing senior high schools

 

In addition, the government is implementing a renewable energy program and continuing work on Phase II of the Kumasi Central Market redevelopment.

 

According to Dr. Forson, these projects are critical to driving job creation, economic transformation, and improving the quality of life for Ghanaians across the country.
