The  Minority in parliament expects the relevant authorities to act swiftly and decisively to resolve the issue.

According to the Hon Hajia Fatahiya Abdul Aziz, Ghanaian Students who travelled abroad under the authority of the state now face the very real prospect of being forced to leave the United Kingdom.

She explained that, when Ghana sends its citizens abroad under the scholarship program, it carries with it the honour and responsibility and that must not be diminished by administrative neglect or broken promises.

She called for protection and asked that,  our scholarship programs be preserved.

The member of parliament for Savelugu said this incident exposes deeper administrative weakness within the management of the Ghana's scholarship programs.

She urged for a comprehensive review of the operations of the scholarship Secretariat to determine structural, financial or managerial failures may be contributed factors to the current situation.

These students petitioned parliament as they have beached the UK immigration laws.
