BoG PROJECT COST $261.8M-DR JOHNSON ASIAMA REVEALS.

The newly appointed governor of  Bank of Ghana, Dr Johnson Asiama has revealed that, the total cost of the BoG project is $261.8m dollars. 

According to him, as of February this year, a total of $ 230 million approximately has been paid towards the project  with an outstanding balance of $31.8 million to be paid to the contractor. 

Appearing before the house today, 5th March 2025, Mr Asiama mentioned that the project was initially valued by PPA at 81.8million dollars but later increased to 121.1 million dollars after the Bank of Ghana requested  for re-evaluation.

He continued to say that it was revised again to $222.8 million  dollars.he said after redesign and inclusion of building management systems which requires security needs and sustainability considerations, as a *results the total cost project increased to $261.8 million* . 

Mr Johnson Asiama explained that a total of $48.3million dollars has been paid in taxes and levies that were related to the construction.
