Minority caucus in parliament has donated a sum of ( 200,000.00) Two hundred thousand Ghana cedis to kantamanto fire victims today 15th April, 2025. Addressing the thirteen association trader's leadership, the minority leader Mr Alexander Kwamena Afenyo Markin appealed to banks that have loaned the affected victims to reduce their interest rates to ease their burden. The Effutu lawmaker also urged the traders to pay their taxes to contribute to the development of the country. He called on the government to come to the aid of the affected victims. However, some of the affected victims complained about their leadership. According to them, they preferred the minority to share the money to them individually rather than to go through their leadership. The Minority Whip Mr Frank Annor Dompreh reacting to his victory in the court case challenging his win in the 2024 election advised the National Democratic Party not to destroy pink sheet if they claimed they have won an election. According to him, the NDC claimed they had won when they could not prove with their pink sheet in the court room.
