*"Ghanaian Students Abroad in Crisis: Minority Calls for Urgent Government Intervention"* The minority on the select committee on education have expressed great concerns over disturbing reports of Ghanaian government sponsored students facing imminent eviction from the United Kingdom and United States. Speaking to the press, the minority are calling on the government to immediately intervene to address the financial crisis facing these Ghanaian scholarship beneficiaries abroad. Mr Fred Kyei Asamoah, a member of the education committee revealed that, about 180 Ghanaian students in Memphis and Tennessee are on the verge of being ejected from their university housing and also being stripped off their student visa status. He added that, their emerging report indicates same situation for students in the United Kingdom and Eastern Europe facing same threats. PRU EAST MP RAISES SECURITY CONCERNS IN HIS CONSTITUENCY, AS INTERIOR MINISTER PROMISES JOINT SECURITY TO CURB THE SITUATION. Member of Parliament for Pru East, Mr Emmanuel Kwaku Boam has raised some concerns about the security situation in the country particularly in his constituency. In an exclusive interview, Mr Kwaku Boam narrated a recent arm robbery attack on travelers that resulted in the death of a businessman at Suraj which has become a burden for the people of Pru East. The MP had asked the minister of interior, Hon Muntaka Mohammed -Mubarak on the concrete steps the ministry is taking to curb armed robbery and violent attacks along the Ejura-Jeji highway. However, the minister has promised to deploy 50 trained policemen on the highways in Pru East to prevent future attacks. Commenting on the business statement for the week, Mr Afenyo Markin asked the EC, what changed to have a turn on their decision because they were on course to declare the Ablekuma North elections. He humbly asked the majority Leader to program the EC before the house to brief them on reasons why they changed their course.
