NANUMBA SOUTH DCE SEEKS INCLUSION IN SOCO BANK'S SECOND PHASE. The District Chief Executive for Nanumba South, Mr. Musah Abdul Rashid, is concerned about his district being left out of an intervention by SOCO Bank and is seeking support to be included in the second phase of the project. Addressing the media, he provided an update on the progress of various projects and initiatives in his district, highlighting 15 projects ongoing, with 2 completed under legacy projects. He said construction of a kindergarten school is underway, with contractors at the roofing level. Renovation of a health center and primary school have been completed. Notifying on health issues, a CHIP compound project is ongoing, with the contractor promising to complete within three weeks. 20 broken-down boreholes have been repaired, and refuse evacuations have been conducted in four major communities. TWIFO HEMANG LOWER DENKYIRA FACES INTERNET CONNECTIVITY CHALLENGES District Chief Executive for Twifo Hemang-Lower Denkyira Mr Patrick Fiable has said one of the major challenges facing his district is internet connectivity especially, areas with poor network coverage. Mr Fiable requested for assistance with Internet infrastructure including installation of masts. Electricity coverage expansion to growing communities and also connection of towns to the national grid. SUNYANI WEST MCE OUTLINES PROJECTS IN HIS MUNICIPALITY AND ASSURES OF SAFETY ON THEIR ROADS. The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Sunyani West Mr Kwasi Asante Boateng (Esq) in the Bono Region has discussed ongoing and upcoming projects, as well as challenges faced by the municipality. He mentioned several projects including, renovation of the abandoned MCE's bangalore and market, which has been abandoned for 7 years. Mr Boateng added that, Construction of a 6-classroom block at Adentia near Sekyere Odumase, construction of a 6-compound and 2-unit classroom block at Timba nkwanta, Drilling of 10 new boreholes across the municipality are on going projects yet to be completed. MCE APPEALS FOR PREZ "BIG PUSH" PROJECT. Hajia Fati Abubakar, Municipal Chief Executive for Berekum East has identified road network improvement as a major support, specifically requesting and appealing inclusion in the president H. E John Dramani Mahama's "big push" projects. Addressing the media, she mentioned projects such as three unit classrooms block and streetlights, which have improved the municipality's infrastructure. She highlighted the importance of the Common Fund, which has provided significant financial support. Hajia expressed confidence in meeting the municipality's financial target of 2 million Ghana Cedis having already reached 1.5 million. She revealed that, the municipality conducted five clean up exercises since May 2025, with the fifth one taking place on 4th September, 2025. ATEBUBU AMANTIN FACES WATER CRISIS. The Municipal Chief Executive for Atebubu Amantin in the Bono East, Mr Thomas Mas'wud Musah Ayaaba has highlighted some challenges confronting his municipality. He mentioned that, the municipality faces a severe water crisis with low water tables and inadequate supply. Minority Rebut Hon. Samuel Nartey George Over DSTV Impasse. The Minority members on Parliament's Communication and Information Committee have responded to comments made by Hon. Samuel Nartey George, Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, regarding the ongoing DSTV impasse. In a press statement signed by Hon. GOVT TO INCREASE FUNDING FOR PRISON FEEDING FROM GHC 1.80 TO GHC 5. The government of Ghana through the interior minister,Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed - Mubarak and the Finance Ministry has allocated 40million Ghana cedis for prison feeding. With a proposal to increase the daily feeding allowance from GHC 1.8 to GHC 5 Ghana cedis per inmate. Appearing before the Public Accounts Committee of parliament on 30th September 2025, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed said the Ghana Prisons Service is working to improve the welfare of inmates and address congestion in prison. The prison service granted amnesty to over nine hundred (900) first time offenders reducing congestion from 36% to 33%.
